Theater is where everything started and where Andressa dedicates most of her creative energy. She has always been drawn to creating original works and since she attended the Mitu Thailand Artist Intensive in Bangkok she has been focusing in creating original work that often involved physical theater and multimedia such as her solo work free•dom - a solo of many people, awarded Best Multimedia Show at the 2012 United Solo Festival in New York. In 2011 she co-founded Group .BR, NY's only Brazilian theater company where she serves as artistic director. In 2014, .BR's Infinite While it Lasts was nominated to the Innovative Theater Awards for Best Choreography. All Group .BR's productions, The Serpente, Infinite While it Lasts and Inside the Wild Heart, and free•dom - a solo of many people were nominated to the Brazilian International Press Awards and in 2017, after five years in a row being nominated, Andressa received the award for her acting in Inside the Wild Heart.

Holding a filmmaking degree from Gama Filho University in Rio de Janeiro, Andressa Furletti's career spans both in front of and behind the camera, primarily as an actress and also a scriptwriter, director, and video editor. Her script "Diálogo" earned her the Best Script Award at the Colatina Festival in Brazil, and her directorial work on "Separation Sonnet" has been recognized with four awards. Furletti's expertise extends into video mapping and interactive projections (see installations), showcasing her versatility in the visual arts. .

Performance art
Ideas for performance art and installations have been a constant presence in Andressa Furletti's creative journey. Her pivotal experience at the Watermill Summer Program was a turning point, providing her with the insights needed to actualize her concepts. Since 2011, Furletti has been developing and exhibiting durational performances and art art installations, bringing her unique visions into tangible reality.
